Yesterday at Ten Thousand Villages, among the many retail items to admire, I saw the most intriguingly beautiful plant. Admiring it, I asked one of the women working there what it was, and she said she likes to call it a Dinosaur Begonia, because it reminded her of a dinosaur. She gave me and mom two cuttings.
I think it looks like a tiger, or even a tarantula, with hairs on its stems, and coloration so dark running through its leaves, the purple is as dark as black.
Beautiful.
Mom forgot her leaf, but I have them both in a vase right now. She'll come get it soon.
And then we'll both have beautiful plants.
